Described as punk rock opera, this record is set to outsell dookie with such massive success. Green Day have never been this big before. American Idiot, a song about George W. Bush would open the way to the success to this album with it debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 which has never happened for Green Day before. This record is following in the footsteps of The Who's "Tommy" with a narrative containing such characters as Jesus of Suburbia, Jimmy and Whatsername. There have been talks that this record may become a broadway musical like "London Calling" and maybe even a movie like "Tommy". The record has been highly acclaimed by the likes of Stephen King and has been nominated for seven Grammies.
