Childhood: Billie Joe Armstrong was the youngest of 6 children in a working class family in Rodeo, California. When Bj was 10 his father who was a truck driver and part time jazz musician died of cancer. When Bj was young, he went to hospitals to sing to the sick. He also recorded the song "Look For Love" when he was 5. Bj was influenced by his friends to listen to Punk Rock bands like the Dead Kennedys. Bj's first guitar was at 11.
